Resources Available to Get Ready for Hurricane Florence

By September 12, 2018No Comments

Columbia-Richland Fire is continuing to urge area residents to take steps to prepare ahead of Hurricane Florence — a weather event that now could extend into much of the weekend.

A friendly reminder that if you need help getting ready consider downloading the mobile app of the South Carolina Emergency Management Division. The app can help you customize your hurricane kit and give you information on area closings and delays.

It’s available for download on the Apple App Store & Google Play:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.scemd.app

Also, the city of Columbia is continuing to provide updates on resources available ahead of the hurricane. You can visit the city’s website at: https://www.columbiasc.net/ or follow the city on Twitter (@CityofColumbia), or on Facebook (City of Columbia Government).

Lastly a customer care hotline has been set up to help you with any non emergent requests.

Simply call 803-545-3300 As always if you’re facing an emergency dial 9-1-1.
