
Before their families, friends and fellow firefighters, 28 members of the Columbia-Richland Fire Department were recognized for promotions they earned with CRFD over the last four months.
Fire Chief Aubrey D. Jenkins officially presented new badges to 23 senior firefighters and 3 fire captains at a promotional pinning ceremony on Wednesday evening October 16, 2024.
The department also recognized one new fire training officer and one new deputy fire marshal during the ceremony held at CRFD Headquarters on Laurel Street.
“I was incredibly proud to recognize these firefighters on earning promotions to new ranks of leadership with our agency,” said Columbia-Richland Fire Chief Aubrey D. Jenkins, “All of the honorees tonight will be taking on greater leadership roles in several divisions of CRFD. That not only includes our 32 fire stations but the department’s training division and fire prevention divisions as well.”
“I applaud all of our honorees on taking these next steps in their fire service careers and I know they will continue to provide great service to our citizens in all we do,” Jenkins added.
