The Columbia-Richland Fire Department ushered in activities for National Fire Prevention Week 2024 with the annual Fire Prevention Parade and Community Block Party!
To mark its 25th year in the Capital City this year’s parade was held in downtown Columbia on Thursday October 3, 2024. Several CRFD firetrucks and ones from outside agencies made their way from Main Street and Calhoun Street to our department headquarters on Laurel Street.
CRFD hosted a block party after the parade that featured free food, games and fire-safety themed fun. Many area citizens and community leaders came out to watch the parade and enjoy the festivities.
