Members of the Columbia-Richland Fire Department canvassed the Hollywood Hills community on Saturday March 22, 2025 to install free smoke alarms in area homes.
They were joined by officials with South Carolina State Fire as well as volunteers from the American Red Cross of South Carolina.
By the time the blitz was over in the early afternoon more than 200 free alarms were installed for area homeowners.
