On Saturday July 15, 2023 members of the Columbia-Richland Fire Department and the Columbia Police Department faced off in a charity hockey game at Flight Adventure Park in Irmo.
All donations taken at the door went to benefit the family of fallen Irmo firefighter James Michael Muller.
By the end of the afternoon Columbia firefighters netted a 7-4 victory over CPD and $8,300 was raised in support of the campaign.
