Before their families, friends and fellow firefighters, 57 members of the Columbia-Richland Fire Department were recognized for promotions they recently earned with CRFD.
In what was the largest promotional event in some time for the department Fire Chief Aubrey D. Jenkins officially presented new badges to 22 senior firefighters, 17 engineers as well as and seven fire captains, three battalion chiefs and two divisional chiefs.
The department also recognized its new Chief of Training, three deputy fire marshals and its new Chief of Fire Planning and Compliance during the ceremony held at CRFD Headquarters on Laurel Street.
